The company’s latest Vantage Elan MRI device (1.5T system) was previously being offered in Japan only. However, with the growing popularity and emerging needs, this top notch self-loading MR scanner has recently been introduced in the United Kingdom market as well, on the 24th of July. This state-of-the-art device was installed at the Commonwealth Games onsite medical facility. It is imperative to mention here that Toshiba is also the official medical system provider for this event.

WH Bence LTD (based in Bristol) has collaborated in the designing of this MR scanner project as a partner. One of the core benefits include the provision of 50% additional space to the patient and the medical experts as compared to the orthodox portable MRI systems. In addition, it does not need any special vehicle to escort it during the transportation. The device is very economical and comes up with numerous financial benefits because of hassle-free use and easy transportability. Furthermore, it also allows the functional use of the device by the patient as well as healthcare providers. The device provides multiple options for post-processing several applications such as neuro, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular.
A diesel generator is affixed to the system which supplies power to the scanner and chiller, to keep the magnet running during the transfer of the system. Moreover, it is a visual masterpiece that includes beautiful lighting, visual displays (on walls & ceiling), hot and cold running water, freeview TV and sound system.
