Recently Masimo announced that it had received FDA clearance for finger pulse oximeter measurement. Nowadays the breathing rate is still counted manually so, this new technology will be able to calculate the user’s breathing rate and also this device designed for bedridden patients.
The new device MightySat Rx finger pulse oximeter also measures functional oxygen saturation, pulse rate, perfusion index, Pleth variability index. Also respiratory rate from pleth (RRp) notices how the respiratory cycle changes the nature of the pulses detected by oximeters.
